Geographic Optimization

MSP360 Connect comes with a handy feature that enables you to reduce latency by leveraging servers located closer to you.

Starting from version 1.7, Connect features significant latency reduction. Connect uses intermediary servers to transfer the data between the source and the target computers. If both computers along with the server are located relatively close to each other, the established connection will be fast and reliable. But what if the server is located far away from the computers?

For example, if both computers are located in Australia while the server is in Germany. The established connection may be impacted with high latency and result in poor performance. To avoid this issue, a smart location-based latency reduction mechanism is introduced. It leverages the closest servers when establishing connection.

Currently, servers in Europe, North America, and Australia are on duty. Once you run Connect, it automatically identifies the servers with the lowest latency and then uses them.
