Manage Content Items

Now you are ready to manage the content items (objects) between your local Macintosh HD and connected cloud storages.

  1. Run MSP360 Explorer.
  2. Browse the content of your local Macintosh HD folder tree in the left pane to open a location where you want to restore or get the object.

Use search to quickly navigate through the folder tree.

  1. Click the created connection in CONNECTIONS to see the content of your cloud storage on the default tab in the selected pane of the main window.

It is recommended to use tabs, this helps you to streamline navigation. Every tab can keep a specific location, and you can browse between tabs to quickly access the necessary file or directory.

Now you are ready to manage objects. You can:

  • Create a folder for the object, if necessary
  • Copy objects
  • Move objects
  • Create and copy to clipboard web URL to share the object for downloading
  • Delete objects

You can use the action menu at the top of the main window or the context menu on the objects. To Copy Objects From the Cloud Storage to Local Storage:

  1. Browse the content of the cloud storage to access the folder where you want to copy objects.
  2. Refresh the object folder or object itself to view the latest version (optional).
  3. Select the object or multiple objects to be copied.
  4. Right-click your selection, then click Copy.
  5. Confirm the action.
  6. Object will be copied to the folder in Macintosh HD that is opened in the left pane of the main window.
  7. In case of multiple object processing, you can monitor the progress using the queue management window.

To Move Object From the Cloud Storage to Local Storage:

  1. Browse the content of the cloud storage to access the folder from where you want to take the object.
  2. Refresh the object folder or object itself to see the latest version (optional).
  3. Select the object or multiple objects you want to move.
  4. Right-click your selection and click Move.
  5. Confirm the action.
  6. Object will be moved to the folder in Macintosh HD that is opened in the left pane of the main window. Consider, this object will be cleared from the cloud storage and cannot be used for any restore plan associated with this cloud storage.
  7. In case of multiple object processing you can monitor the progress using the queue management window.

To Copy Objects To the Cloud Storage from Your Local Storage:

  1. Browse the content of the local storage to access the folder where you want to copy objects.
  2. Select the object or multiple objects you want to copy.
  3. Right-click your selection and click Copy.
  4. Confirm the action.
  5. Object will be copied to the folder in your cloud storage that is opened in the right pane of the main window.

To Move Objects To the Cloud Storage from Your Local Storage:

  1. Browse the content of the local storage to access the folder from where you want to take objects.
  2. Select the object or multiple objects you want to move.
  3. Right-click your selection and click Move.
  4. Confirm the action.
  5. Object will be moved to the folder in your cloud storage that is opened in the right pane of the main window. Consider, this object will be cleared from the local storage.
  6. In case of multiple object processing you can monitor the progress using the queue management window.

To Delete Objects From the Cloud or Local Storage:

  1. Browse the content of the cloud pr local storage to access the object you want to remove.
  2. Select the object or multiple objects you want to remove.
  3. Right-click your selection and click Delete.
  4. Confirm the action.
  5. Object will be cleared from the local storage or cloud storage and cannot be used for any restore plan associated with this cloud storage.
  6. In case of multiple object processing you can monitor the progress using the queue management window.

To Create and Copy to Clipboard Web URL To Share the Object:

  1. Browse the content of the cloud storage to access the folder from where you want to share the object.
  2. Refresh the object folder or object itself to see the latest version (optional).
  3. Select the object or multiple objects you want to share.
  4. Right-click your selection, then click Web URL.
  5. You can select the Expire URL at specified date check box to limit link availability.
  6. Click OK to generate the link.
  7. Click Copy to Clipboard. The link is copied to the clipboard and you can share it as appropriate. The selected object can be downloaded using the generated link.
